Turn a familiar sound into something you want to work with. Trickbox is an experimental effect rack for exploring texture, movement and variations of your own audio.

Eight effects to explore
The current prototype combines Grain, Drive, Filter, Crush, Tape, Motion, Echo and Space in a fixed processing order. Each effect has its own controls, so you can shape a result after discovering it.
Start with a sample or a DAW signal
Load an audio file, preview it with loop and reverse controls, or use Track FX after an instrument or on an audio track. Track FX disables file drops and leaves Space for the DAW transport. Imported samples can be processed and exported as WAV files. DAW audio is recorded or rendered through the host.
Make Magic, then listen
Fifty factory presets across ten categories and the Make Magic control provide starting points for experimentation. The useful result is the one that fits your track; randomization is a way to explore, not a promise of a finished sound.
Effect sequencing is a future direction
A timeline for placing effects and host-tempo synchronization are being considered for further development. They are not features of the current prototype. The present build is an effect rack, not a step sequencer.
